Louise Distras - Acoustic protest pop punk from UK
Als Aushängeschild der neuen Generation britischen Punkrocks gilt Louise Distras schon längst. Auch den Rest der Welt konnte sie mit ihren Songs inzwischen begeistern.
Louise bringt Anti-Establishment und Pop-Kultur in Einklang. Sie ist wütend, und zwar zurecht. Diese Wut transportiert sie absolut überzeugend, live kann man sich nur von ihrer Leidenschaft mitreißen lassen, ob sie allein mit Gitarre auf der Bühne steht oder mit ganzer Band. Louise Distras' Talent für Songwriting sorgte dafür, daß auf ihrem neuen Album "Dreams from the Factory Floor" jeder Song ein Hit geworden ist.
Verglichen mit Künsterlinnen wie Brody Dalle oderCourtney Love und von der Presse hochgelobt, tourte Louise Distras in den letzten Jahren durch Großbritannien, Europa, Kanada und die USA, zusammen mit Mick Jones (The Clash), Billy Bragg, den Buzzcocks, Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned und The Red Paintings, ist auf etablierten Festivals wie Glastonbury, dem Rebellion Festival und dem Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas aufgetreten.
Doch Louise steht niemals still. Im November/Dezember 2016 kommt sie mit kompletter Band nach Europa und bringt ihre neue Single “Aileen” (Street Revolution Records) persönlich vorbei
